Procedure

  • Preparation

    • Wash and remove the seeds, stems and stigmas from the pears

    • Chop up the pears into small pieces 

    • Boil one liter of water in a pot and pour seven cups of cane sugar

    • Mix and stir until sugar is fully dissolved

    • Fill the jug with two liters of water 

    • Pour the sugar dissolved water into the jug

    • Pour the chopped up pears into the jug

    • Pour the golden raisins into the jug

    • Pour the yeast packet into the jug and mix

    • Close up the jug and cover it with a tarp and keep in a dark area in room temperature

  • Fermentation

    • Allow the mixture to ferment for 3 weeks

    • Filter the mixture through a flour sack or jelly bag strainer (The resulting mixture should have a layer of sediment at the bottom)

    • Allow this new mixture to ferment for another 2 weeks.

    • Completely filter the mixture. (The result should be a clear liquid)

    • Bottle and let sit for 2 days.

    • Enjoy!
